Cheese labels are the labels that are placed on cheese packaging to provide important information to consumers about the cheese they are purchasing. These labels typically include the name of the cheese, its country of origin, the type of milk used to produce the cheese (e.g. cow’s milk, goat’s milk, etc.), the cheese’s texture and flavor profile, as well as any other relevant information, such as whether the cheese is pasteurized or made from organic ingredients.
If you are selling your own cheese locally or online, we can help you find a professional and sleek-looking label to suit your cheese branding and packaging. We know that cheese is popular amongst the public, specifically during special events, or dine-in days, so whether you are looking for a label that promotes your product with class and elegance, or just want a simple label to display important information, we have a multitude of materials and sizes to suit.
If you would like to test any of our quality materials, you can order a sample pack to get a feel of what material or adhesive works best for you:

Cheese Labelling Materials
Cheese labels are often printed on semi-gloss labels because they provide a good balance between the look and feel of the label. Semi-gloss labels have a slight shine and a smooth surface, making them easy to read and adding a professional look to the product.
A gloss varnish and gloss laminate are excellent options for cheese labels due to their ability to provide an extra layer of protection and enhance the label’s visual appeal. The gloss varnish provides a high level of glossiness, creating a luxurious and shiny finish that adds to the product’s premium look. Similarly, a gloss laminate provides a high level of glossiness, but it is thicker and more durable than a gloss varnish, making it a suitable option for products that require more protection.
Waterproof polypropylene labels are an excellent choice for cheese products because they are resistant to moisture and humidity, which are common conditions in refrigerated storage environments. These labels are made of a strong, durable material that can withstand the varying temperatures that cheese products may be exposed to, as well as the handling and transport that occurs during distribution. Additionally, polypropylene labels are resistant to tearing and smudging, which helps to ensure that the label remains legible and attractive throughout the product’s shelf life.
For extra water resistance, we recommend a gloss laminate over the top to ensure that the print is as protected as the label.
